The UJ Consortium is pleased to introduce a new UJ/UC Fusion Splicer, the UJS-S200 (Item K14) and its tool kit (Item K15). These will replace the UJS-S100R and its tool set. The essential properties such as a failure probability of fiber spliced portion for 25 years remains unchanged. Fiber splicing conditions which have been qualified in the past remain applicable. Although the fundamental procedure for fiber splicing is similar to UJS-S100R, undergoing a short instruction course is recommended.
